I have a week till I go on my cruise!!!!! I am so excited about leaving. I have had a very stressful month. If you did not already know I have been taking 2 four week summer courses Persuasion Methods and Strategy and then Communication Research Methods. It was my first venture into the upper level communications classes. They almost kicked my butt. Its crazy when they pack a whole class into a month when it usually takes around 3 months. I also jumped the gun and went for 2 classes that seniors usually take.
The first day of my Research Methods class the teacher asked who out of the class were seniors and had waited to take the class because they had heard how horrible it is. More than half of the class raised their hands. It was a lot of reading but I think that I did pretty good in the end. I have not found out my grade so fingers crossed. We had a big group paper to turn in for the final project and that will take some time to grade.
The real stress was my Persuasion Methods and Strategy class. The first test I did badly on, not a complete bomb but not in my normal A-B range. So that stressed me out and then I had a small group project to do and I am still working on my public speaking. That ended up going really well and we got an A on that project. Then on my second test I did really good and got a B. Also we had a LARGE final project to complete, basically a PR campaign to create for a "social movement." There were 4 people in my group. There were three of us that were communicating through out the semester and we had an idea of what was going on. When we would try to catch the 4th person after class to talk she would completely bolt. After our 2nd test I was able to finally catch her and we all sat down and explained the part we had assigned her. She was very excited about the project and just said she had been busy. So I get home on Saturday (keep in mind our project is due the next Tuesday) and I have a message saying that she dropped the class. (!!!!!!!!stress explosion!!!!!!) The other people in my group were going out of town and had let me know that so I knew that I could not expect them to help. They had already sent their parts to me. So I ended up doing about 75% of the project in a day. It was horrible. But we ended up getting a B on the project.
I'm so glad it is over! I can write more now! And I get to go on my first cruise!!!! We are going to Nassau and Half Moon Cay. I am so excited for my first trip out of the country! I think that it is going to a lot of fun.
Also something that has been helping me recover from my stress and from looking stressed is my Origins GinZing eye cream. I have been noticing lately that I have been getting more creases and lines are starting to form under my eyes. I'm only 20! This should not be happening. But I have heard great things about the Origins GinZing eye cream so while I was at a Macy's I decided to get a sample! I loved this stuff! It has caffeine in it so that it literally wakes your eyes up. However, I was put off by the price tag.... $29.50. That is a lot of money for a college student. Then I remembered that Birchbox has some of Origins products. I looked and I had enough points to get the cream + shipping costs for $5!!!!!! I love the Birchbox points system. I have to say that I think that this eye cream is totally worth it. And a little goes a long way.
Sorry for the lengthy slightly woe-is-me post.
Have you went on vacation already this year? If so, where?
Also if you have not went yet where are you going?

1st Outfit of the Day + Song of the moment
Hey everyone!!!
I have never done an outfit of the day and I realized that there is not an actual picture of myself really on here. So yesterday I decided to do an outfit of the day yesterday, it is simple and comfortable but with a few dainty accessories it makes the outfit more than it seems. Also yesterday was one of my class days so this is a great summer school outfit.
From top to bottom: Forever 21 feather earrings, Forever 21 enamel heart necklace, White American Apparel tshirt, Betsy Johnson Cat Eye Sunglasses, Fossil tortoise shell watch, Mossimo denim shorts from target, and Reef flip flops.
I hope y'all liked my outfit of the day now on too the song of the moment. I am loving folky/alternative duet songs from like Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. But my new favorite song is Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men. I love the sound of this. It is really similar to Edward Sharpe but I have a hard time of putting it in a category.

The shorts I have had forever but here is a link to similar ones HERE. I love my Betsey Johnson sunglasses! I found them at Marshals for $15. I found them on ebay here. Then my watch. I love my fossil watch it was my Christmas present from my boyfriend Steve. I know everyone is obsessed with the Micheal Kors watches but the MK version of this watch is HUGE and my boyfriend knows that I do not like large bracelets. So he did good. =]]] Here is a link to my watch.
I love these earrings they came from Forever 21 and it is a set of three feathers that are different natural colors. I hate feather earrings that are neon colors or printed with animal print. I had some other feather earrings that I again found at Forever 21 like 5 years ago before the feather craze and I loved them. But I lost them my freshman year after going to a decades dance. So when I ran in there the other day and I found these I was really excited. You can find them HERE, if you do like neon feathers this set comes in neon colors too, they are $4.80.
Here is a close up of the earrings and you can also see my little white enamel necklace. I bought this a while ago so it is not on the website anymore. But I found something that might be a good replacement HERE.
Then my make up: Foundation is Clinique Even Better, little bit of The Balm Stainiac in Beauty Queen, Avon SuperExtend Liquid Eye liner pen, the golden color from my Earthtones quad from Avon, and Maybelline Volum' Express Colossal mascara. The Missing Avon products.
I got the other Avon products that I missed in my last post. I missed my eyeliner and concealer. I got the Avon Super Extend liquid eyeliner in Black T01. Also I bought the Avon brightening concealer in Medium.
After the concealer is blended in, If you can tell there is a lighter area. Also this picture is after I have rubbed my hand with the eyeliner on.

This is the eyeliner. It stays in place very well. I put it on and then tried to rub it off a minute or two later and it does not budge. HOWEVER, get this stuff wet and its done for.
The point is not very think, it is pretty thick. But you can get finer lines with this. I have been using it to make a winged cat eye look.
A close up of the eyeliner.
This is the brightening concealer. When I saw this in the Avon book I was really excited that maybe they were trying to do a touche eclat dupe. I have never been close to a YSL Touche eclat so I do not know if the finish is similar. It is not what I would consider glittery but more of a shimmer. I do think that this works well for the under eyes. It does set extremely quick. I use one of my Real Techniques to blend it in quickly. I think that the click up pen form is alright but sometimes you have to click it up a lot. After the concealer is blended in, If you can tell there is a lighter area. Avon haul + more to come
Hey everyone!!!! I gave myself a little treat this week and decided to order a few things from my moms Avon lady at work. I had midterms yesterday and today. Hard to do midterms after only 2 weeks of class but, that also means that class ends in 2 weeks. So I decided that I deserved a treat. Also I have been wanting to try a few things from them for a while.
I think everything I bought was on sale or was buy 1 get one free. There are a few things I'm missing my order was messed up so I am missing my concealer pen and my felt tip liquid eye liner. Bought 2 nail polishes Jade (Order #: 916-765) and Absinthe (Order #: 438-116). They were $3.49 and are usually $6 so I got 2 for the price of one! Then I got an eyeshadow palette "True Color eyeshadow pallet" in Earthtones Quad (Ordering #: 695-136) for $4 when it is normally $9. Then I got a Glimmerstick Waterproof Eye Liner in Blackest Black (Ordering #:114-350) for $7 but I then got my felt tip eyeliner for free, more on that when I get it.
I love the earth tones in this pallet! I wore them all today and I think the pigmentation was pretty good. I especially like the gold and the green!
I really wanted another new waterproof eyeliner for vacation. I have been using an eyeshadow usually for a really natural looking eye, but I knew that was not going to work for the Bahamas. I was able to get a really similar look with the mechanical pencil.
What are your favorite nail colors to wear right now? I wore the jade color all day then put on the absinthe color to show y'all. My nail polish chips so easily that I change the color almost every day.

From Left to Right: Black Eyeliner, purple, green, light cream, and gold from the eyeshadow pallet. |
A different angle. |
And my favorite the light green is Jade. It reminds me of the exact color of Fire King Jadite plates that I collect. I have wanted this color forever. |

Mini- Everyday Haul
I ran in to Walmart the other night and I decided that I wanted to concentrate on some hair stuff that I wanted to try. I grabbed the Samy Fat Hair "0" Thickening Spray $6, mini of the St. Ives Green Tea face scrub $2, Neutrogena Make-Up Remover Cleansing Towelettes $2, Not Your Mother's Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray $6, AND a Essie Nail polish on clearance for $3.
I enjoy these wipes. I do think that they take off a good amount of make up but I think I like the Yes to Blueberries ones better. I think I will buy those to take with me on my cruise. Birchbox spoiled me and now I love those. I love this spray!! It gives my hair great texture which it is in completely lacks. Also it is $6 compared to the $24 for the Bumble and Bumble surf spray. And it like twice the size.
I also got the sample size of the St. Ives Green tea scrub. I'm on the fence with this. It comes out bright green which is kinda cool. It feels a little bit like my Philosophy Micro Delivery Scrub in texture. My skin is kind of freaking out because of this but that is a given when I introduce something new.
I also got the FAT thickening spray. When I use this alone it gives my hair a different texture like it feels thicker to me but i'm not sure if it actually looks thicker. I do like the the feeling. I have been using this on my roots and spraying the surf spray on my ends and I love it!
I also got the NYC 1 minute top coat. Ehhh not the best stuff ever but I really wanted to grab a cheap top coat because I was out of Seche Vite. So for the price I got the quality that comes with it.
Finally my Essie Nail polish in It's Genius the color is a magenta with micro gold glitter in it. The glitter is really neat. The light catches it really nicely. I would not consider this a really summery color and would not have normally bought this now. BUT it was $3 on clearance! $3!! So I snatched it up.
Sorry I have not been writing lately. I am on hiatus because I am taking 2 four week classes at school right now so I go to class 4 days a week for about 3 hours and then I have to do online assignments. I am halfway through though midterms this week!!!
What have you bought lately?
