The other day I decided to stop by at one of the thrift stores I like to go in. It is a hit and miss most of the time. I can find something awesome there one week then I will not find something for a couple of months. I went in the other day and found one Fire King plate and I was super excited. Then a little old woman who worked there came up to me and asked if I liked "those dishes" and appreciated them. It was a cute funny little moment. I of course said yes and she showed me the mother load.
I love Fire King dishes! It is hard not to be drawn to the Jadeite dishes. But Jadeite has been priced ridiculously high now. I rarely find some that is priced well. So I have been collecting the white pieces and the Philbe Sapphire Blue dishes. I was so happy to find these dishes. The Philbe pattern is one of the oldest that Fire King made. I got the whole load of them for $30. I saw the set of the same bowls for $75 on etsy. I am so excited. I love the pattern.
What good finds have you had lately?
P.S. Steve placed a bid on a house on Friday. It is kinda driving me nuts though. It is a short sale so I do not know when we will find out if they except the bid. But wish us luck!

Fair Date Night!
The past week or two have been super busy. I feel if it is not work it is school. Then there is also so much I want to do with my friends and family. Despite the craziness I was able to smush in some play time. Steve and I were able to go to the North Georgia State Fair last Friday night. I wanted to share some of the shots from the fair. I was particularly interested in the new ride, the Georgia Mountain lift. The ride takes you from one end of the park to the other. This is great considering after you walk to the other side of the park you really do want to ride back! It reminds me of like a ski lift. I hope you enjoy the pictures. There might be more fair pictures coming later. My friends and I are having a girls night this Friday!
P.S. Steve and I's house hunting is still going. We went and looked at our first house with a Realtor on Monday. It was interesting. Not going to be a keeper house. But I did not expect the first house to be the one I would fall in love with.

Sugar Crush Body Scrub Review
I went in to Sephora the other day to pick up my little birthday samples that they were offering this year. While I was in there I discovered the Sugar Crush Body Scrub by Soap & Glory. I have been looking for a new scrub. I do like to make my own scrubs with a little bit of brown sugar, salt, olive oil, and vanilla. The DIY one works really well in a pinch. However, I have been wanting to try something new with a different scent. I love citrus scents. Obsessed actually, I have always loved anything that smells like grapefruit or lemon. This scrub's smell reminds me of a margarita. Yum! It works wonderfully and is very moisturizing. It is a little bit of a rough scrub. I am used to the Lush Ocean Salt scrub so this doesn't bother me but if you have sensitive skin you might want to go check it out at a Sephora before you buy it. I appear to be a little late in the game for this scrub. It does not seem to be on the Sephora or S&G web site but I did find it on Amazon.
Let me know if you use this and what you think! Also if you know of any other wonderful citrus smelling scrubs please fill me in. Or a good DIY!

September Computer Wallpaper Roundup
Hey guys!! Well it is the beginning of a new month. I feel like from now until December is going to move really quickly. Since it is the beginning of the month I wanted to share some new September computer backgrounds. Last month I did a post on Going Home to Roost's August background. I realized that a few blogs that I follow share backgrounds too. They are all lovely backgrounds and I think that it is an amazing that these bloggers put the effort into making them to share with all of us. Please visit their sites for the background downloads!

These are all wonderful backgrounds! I hope you found one you like. I definitely picked one of these. Which one I will never tell. Please visit these lovely ladies blogs and tell them if you decided to use one of their backgrounds. Also take a look at some of their other posts they all have some great content. I think that I might work on creating a background for October to share with everyone. We will see how busy my classes become.
I hope you had a great long weekend! Just think Friday is almost here again already.
